Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

You presumably got them cheap on ebay - don't you think you should have researched first?

Only kidding - They'll be fine & I'd imagine perform like a similar shape ski from a more major brand.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

snowrental - Introductory model that is designed to get you carving medium radius turns, it does this adequately but they just lack a bit of fun and inspiration for me.

manufacturer - The many talented Cross Carver. Easy handling and forgiveness are the focuses. The Allround-skier will like the effortless skiing and easy manoeuvrability...

Yeh i got them from skiwear4less. I wanted a ski that was easy to handle and was quite forgiving. The reason being is that i have had 2 operations on my knee to replace and repair my ACL & PCL, the bloke in the shop recommended these. I will keep people posted on how they handled not that i am an expert but i rekon they must be better than hire skis. I fly out to ADH on 31 Dec and couldnt be bothered with the mele of people trying out boots and skis so i invested in these. Hopefully after a couple of uses they will have paid for themselves anyway. Happy skiing Very Happy Very Happy

I brought a set of the firebirds from skiprofits on ebay. Paid £85 including delivery and they took about 3 days to arrive. I had another set of blizzards before that. Everyone last year took the mick as they were quite long at 182, but they skied fine for me. I've only got 5 weeks skiing so not sure how they compare. I tried a set of head things one day, 1200 somethings, that the man in shop said were very good. I wanted to try something shorter, 160, as I thought it might be easier due to really cruddy conditions at easter. Didn't find them much better, ceratinly not the hundreds of pounds more they would have cost better.

zakopane, have you tried this shop? snowHeads seems to have become their commission-free agent! Look under Carver-Ski, then Carver-Allround. They're a reliable company, by all accounts on here. snowHead

Blizzards got OK reviews in the Ski Press reviews(http://www.skipressworld.com/us/en/magazine/issues.html), scoring much the same as other brands. Why are they so much cheaper?
