Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Internet in Les Arcs 1600

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I've a friend staying in the Arolles building in Les Arcs 1600. The rest of his group are heading down this weekend but so far he has failed to email anyone but has text to say he has no broadband?!. He is a muppet at sorting things at the best of times. Does anyone out there know if 1600 has a communal broad band or any bar or cafe does?

Cheers

Hotel La Cachette certainly has WiFi, they might let him use it?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Arvi Bar used to have it for free, woth checking. I'm going back 3 or 4 years but la Cachette only ever had internet ici, which you have to sign up to and pay for. Internet availability in Arc 1600 always used to be very limited, not sure how much better it has got. I think johnE is a resident, might be worth giving him a PM.

In the Cachette apartments there is Neospot, who I believe serve all of Arc1600. In our apartment the signal strength is excellent and the network fairly fast. However, I haven't tested it streaming video (why would I. I am on holiday). Visitors have to pay for it and it is about 25 euro per week.

Before this was installed last year we either went into the lounge of the Cachette hotel and bought a few hours worth or took the funicular down to Bourg and had a coffee in Macdonalds.
