For places to eat my vote goes to the Borselliers on the Champagny side - no table service but big sunny terrace with lovely views. Crepes, salads, burger and chips, proper meals etc

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

And for bars I love Igloo for it's lifesized moving polar bears!

My favourite is the Inversens restaurants just a bit down from Roche de Mio (NOT the one opposite the exit from the gondola), it has a fast self service restaurant, separate snack bar, crepererie and new this year an outside bar. Prices are very reasonable for a mountain restaurant, the onion soup is delicious and you can usually get a decent coffee there.
Another one worth visiting is the Colosses in Plagne Bellecote which has the outdoor ice skating rink attached to it. A bit of a walk up to it but the food is usually very good and it is always fun to try playing ice hockey after a decent lunch.
The spitting feathers in Bellecote is a good pub to watch English sports, serves Peroni and Youngs and the landlord is very friendly despite the fact he is an Arsenal fan.

@gazzaredcruiser, Chalet des Verdons Suds on the Champagny side is my favourite place. Great service and delicious plat du jour

Watching this thread, never been to Paradiski myself. Staying in Les Coches so will be looking for some nice eateries across the whole Paradiski area.

Useful too are a couple of "salles hors sac" picnic rooms if you're not eating at lunchtime restaurants
There's one at the top of the Champagny gondola, another just before the start of the Bergerie chairlift in Plagne Centre

Wow, thanks to everyone and your input, skiing is paramount but one should never under estimate a good lunch and a beer or two. only 16 sleeps to go and the snow keeps falling!!! happy days...
