Poster: A snowHead
|
Since I've started skiing regularly I'm no longer able to put up with just how darned uncomfortable my helmet is. No surprises given it was a cheapo, but it was fine when skiing two weeks a year.
Price isn't too important, although the cheaper the better, and I know I need to go and try one on especially with my goggles (oakley a frames), just wondering if people have any recommendations for any that are particularly comfortable.

depends on your head, @macgyver. My daughter tried on all those on offer in our quite well equipped local ski shop - only one was comfortable. You absolutely have to try it on.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@macgyver, obviously you need to try various makes / models on, but I for one find my Smith Optics Vantage incredibly comfy, and it seems to regulate temperature pretty well too. I have used it for the last 2 winters with A Frames (1.0 not the new 2.0s) and it's been great.

Yeah I will definitely get to a shop and try some on.
@jellemr, I like the look of the smith vantage but its quite expensive. It's only my head after all !

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@macgyver, the one my daughter liked was Uvex, but it was quite expensive.

@macgyver, yep...only your head after all
I managed to find one online (out of season I think - and probably the previous year's model / colours), for around £100 (from what I can remember).....
