Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

There has been limited news release on the internet of a recall of ski boots by Calzaturifico SpA of Italy, via Black Diamond Equipment in the USA.

No doubt there will be more to come to clarify this report and the ski boot brand involved. If anyone has anything to add, please fire away.

The boots concerned are pretty specialised: Scarpa T2X Telemark

Not that specialised - Telemarking just might be the fastest growing wintersport & Scarpa T2s are pretty much the industry standard. T2Xs for sale in the Uk should have been modified already as they only hit the shops last week & the recall started in October
