Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

i think this photo has been taken from the 'end' point of the new Borest lift - finishing higher than the old one it looks to be near the start of the main lift into Colfosco..?

I will still miss the old flat one tho' -- much fun had waving to people on the passing chair as if you know them, and getting 'blank' looks (or big smiles Very Happy )

It would be good if it goes a bit further up the hill on the other side too. As I recall, you have to walk to a magic carpet to get high enough to get the next lift if you are going San Cassiano way.

@Chris Bish, Looking at the photos of the Corvara end (photo 11 seems to show it best), I don't think it is that much higher so looks to me like a similar walk. Personally I think it is a pain they have made this a gondola. So coming down from Arabba, gets skis off to go in this one towards Colfosco. Then skis on for small ski down to the Colfosco chair, at the top of that one a very short ski / pole over to the next lift up to towards Jimmy's Hutte which is another gondola so take skis off again. But they do seem to like their gondolas round Corvara.

still not worked out where the new top end is. was hoping it might be up high enough so you can slide (or even walk) straight to the 2stage gondola heading up towards dantercepies.

going the other way, just pole across the flat bit. it looks like it's now a little closer though.

found another image which (I think..) shows the top end finishing point next to the main lift into Colfosco

(I would post the images directly here, but the Funivie website will not let me copy their images.....)

Yes I think this one shows the lift going up into Edelweiss is just next to the new Borest top station?

ah so edelweiss could be a bit busier, and you still have to drop down to the 4 man to link up with the plans/frara up towards dantercepies.
on the plus side, if you see a queue at sodlisia, you can ski edelweiss for a bit, rather than skiing off the old borest chair straight in to the sodlisia queue with no other options.

edit: remembering that it used to be a 4man going straight in to a 4man, but now is a 6/8 gondola feeding a 4man for those going round the loop.
