Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A new challenge

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

First post, but thought I'd tap the knowledge of a few more seasoned people.

Basically I'm looking for a second trip this season, may be flying solo but want to change myself. Can anyone recommend a resort which can act as a good introduction to some more serious off piste.

I'm fairly competent on all things compacted and moguls, and I've done a little powder before but after watching 'Steep' got a real buzz for the fresh stuff.

Any ideas?
Thanks

@snowcrazy yer I looked at Les Arcs and it looks amazing for what's on offer. Almost booked one couple of weeks ago out there before everyone pull out.

The same with the spring bash @Sharkymark, I was looking to find a group to ski with which is one of the reasons I join the forum, what better way. Just got to find the money. Do you know how quick they normally fill up?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Not Chamonix - Too big scary + dangerous untill you REALLY know what you'r doing
Not Verbier - Full of idiots who think they can ski off piste because they have the RIGHT gear??

To Les Arcs I would add it's neighbour La Plagne, and across the street Saint Foy.

@Dzmarc, alpine experience in Val d'Isere are very good. Also lots of Uk companies now run introductory courses.
