Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all,
Does anyone have any advise about skiing at this resort and evening dress codes especially new year? It's our first time skiing as family, two boys 11 & 13 & hubby. They are all very excited. We booked with neilson & staying at hotel Austria/ Bellevue. Any advise / tips really appreciated. Ta.

@Rakneale, Welcome to snowHead

I started a thread recently in which folks have been most helpful about the resort although nothing mentioned of the particular hotel.

I'm not going this New Year although having been in other 4* and above hotels in Austria at that time you will find some folks in full evening wear on New Years Eve. Some people will be more dressed down on that night but it depends on what your going to feel comfortable in or if you're the kind of folks who would rather be overdressed than under? As for the other nights you will be fine smart casual at most.

Being Scottish I always take my kilt at New Year for the big night but friends who don't have one took smart trousers and shirt and smart shoes and felt fine like that.

Why not email the hotel and ask them. I'm sure they will say its up to you but if you ask them what is normally worn then at least you will get a clue what its like there in particular.

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
