Poster: A snowHead

Here's a man with raging ambitions: Dale Begg-Smith went into business in Canada at the age of 13 to fund a passion for mogul skiing.
His ideas were too big for his Canadian coaches - they thought his ski training was suffering at the expense of his money-making - so he left Canada and set up in Australia, basing himself at the Snowy Mountains resort of Perisher Blue.
Now 20, he has developed internet advertising software into a business worth $40 million Australian, and is also ranked No. 2 mogul skier in the world. His build-up to the Turin Olympics begins in a Tignes competition today, according to this report from Fox Sports.

Well done him! What an excellent story (and example to us all). Bet it won't be televised in the UK though! (Whinge).

Wow, according to that second article she didn't learn to ski until she was 19!

At the risk of inviting castigation...foot well and truly in mouth...
She's an aerialist. The amount of "skiing" required is minimal. The amount of skill, guts, ability, and determination need not be in question, nor doubted, but it's a bit like comparing high board diving to 400m butterfly.
Different sports, similar equipment.
