Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Getting bags from Champery to Les Gets in Portes du Soleil

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
On a honeymoon in mid Jan and staying a week in Champery at Plein Ciel on the mountain then a week in Les Gets. I know we can ski across but taking the bags might be asking a bit much of my new bride this early in the marriage. Does anyone know a way to get the bags across without putting them in a taxi? A courier perhaps?? Any tips will be greatly appreciated....Preferably about moving the bags

@Tmontana, Welcome to Snowheads snowHead Not easy this one. Taxi will be expensive as it's a fair old trek to go round. How much stuff will you have? You need a skiing porter! It wouldn't be that bad if you could get to Avoriaz as then you could send the stuff/go down on the Prodains lift and get a taxi from the bottom to Les Gets. Be interesting to see if anyone comes up with a solution for this one Laughing Congratulations on your marriage Smile

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks Sarah
We will have one big square cloth bag and a ski/snowboard bag with rollers. A skiing porter sounds like a perfect business for an industrious young go getter. A modified blood wagon might work, going downhill at least.

@Tmontana, If you think hard about packing light, would it be possible to do two trips over in a day, you with a heavy backpack, her with a light one? Your heaviest items will be on your feet, after all, and you really don't need much other than ski clothes, do you?

Sounds like a lovely honeymoon! snowHead

Thanks to all, I have hopefully found a good solution with keen Snowhead offering to transport the gear for a reasonable price.
Great outcome!!

@Tmontana, good stuff! Just wondering though if the gear is going to be transported over the hill by lifts/skis or if it's being driven round? Toofy Grin
