Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Bunkhouses in Morzine??

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
HI! Was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any bunkhouses/hostels in Morzine that would be suited to a poor young skier like me?
If anybody's got any info that'd be great!
Also, any other advice on Morzine would be much appreciated!
Cheers, Sian Very Happy

Hathead, welcome to snowheads, you try a search for French youth hostels, I know there are a number of associations with chalets/hotels in French resorts, don't know any names though.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Sadly there is no youth hostel or UCPA in Morzine - there was one but I think it closed down.

When I first went to Morzine three years ago I booked thru a company who I think were called ski morzine.co.uk or something similar and I remember that they offered accomodation in a hostel/bunkhouse for saisonaires types. a search of the web shows that they are no more, however I do remember that they were based in Esher, Surrey, and I think that they may have been at a dry ski slope at Esher.

Hope this helps but a bit of detective work could pay off.

Might be worth checking out Logis de France. Not bunkhouses, but very reasonable hotels.

Hathead, how long you staying for? Try the tourist office - and the one in Montriond (just down the valley). You might also try St Jean d'Aulps?
