Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Geneva to Club Med Avoriaz

Im looking for advice on transfers from Geneva to Morzine on the 3rd Jan (staying in Morzine one night then move on to Avoriaz for 6 days in Club Med as flights from aberdeen to Geneva on Saturdays but club Med runs sunday to sunday grrrr) . The plan was to waken in Morzine then travel up to Avoriaz on the Sunday morning will be a family of 4 with ski gear what is the easiest way without costing the earth ???? I understand Club Med hotel is not really in the village centre and that the resort is car free so bit worried about having to lug 4 peoples ski luggage Embarassed

Phone Club Med and talk to them - after all they will be getting people from the outskirts of Avoriaz to the ClubMed on the Sunday - and you're four of their guests!

PS It may be the cheapest way is the cable car from Morzine "up the hill" to Avoriaz

Most of the transfer companies will be happy to take you by van up to the Welcome Centre at the top of Avoriaz on a Sunday morning (try the one you're using for GVA-MZN? or Apex or Skiidy). From there you can rent a horse-drawn sleigh or better a tracked taxi to get you and all your clobber up to Club Med. You could get to Prodains somehow and take the telecabine, but you arrive the wrong end of town, from where the taxis and sleighs are less available.

If you want really cheap they do provide luggage-luges at either location, but it's no fun dragging everything through the streets in a blizzard. Taxi's best. Also talk to Club Med, they may have a tracked taxi shuttle on their transfer day? snowHead

I will be travelling to that Club Med a week later but travelling from London with Club Med. If you gain some useful info/tips on the resort/accommodation I would love to hear it when you return.
