Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Crosets - transfers from Geneva Airport

Anyone know of a cost effective way of transferring from Geneva Airport to Les Crosets? I've only been able to find expensive private transfers or car hire options.

@skidm, train from airport to Aigle station which is quite close, maybe 20 mins or so by road so taxi from there. Or I think but not sure there is some kind of train/tram from Aigle which goes up to Val d'Illiez which would get you even closer.

@skidm, what @sarah said. I stayed in Val d'Illiez a few years ago and we caught the train from Geneva airport to Aigle and then cog railway up to Val d'Illiez. There's a ski bus that runs from Val d'Illiez station to Le Croset but a taxi from there isn't going to be too expensive. You can do the journey using the Swiss Transfer ticket too. Just check whether it's cheaper that way or booking via the train company. See www.swisspasses.com for the transfer ticket.

+1

It's a doddle and a nice way to arrive.

I think we changed at Aigle onto a smaller train. Hotel then picked us up at Val d'Illiez.

Does anyone know if Swiss train ticket costs are fixed or do you save with early booking?

@skidm, I believe the best deal is to book them as a foreign visitor. sbb.ch is the website.

@skidm, doesn't matter but check that the transfer ticket is cheaper than a normal journey as this is not a very long transfer.
