Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hey folks,
Moving to Mayrhofen at the end of Nov and need some advice. I've booked my flights and 8 nights stay at the Guesthof to get me started, but I'm going to need to find myself more permanent. Google searches don't seem to bring up much
Does anyone have experience of the best route to take? I'm going without a job and hoping to get one whilst out there. I'm willing to live in the nearby villages if need be, I just picked Mayrhofen as a start as I'd skiied there before.
It's all really hit home today.
Any advice welcome!

I would have a look at
http://www.heimatstimme.at/
and probably worth putting an advert in their property section. It costs about 16 euro and they speak very good English and will translate it for you etc. Its not easy finding accommodation for the season, however it is about, you just need to put some effort into it as soon as you get here. Hopefully there will be people in the Gasthof in a similar boat and so you can join up with them etc.
