All beyond me too, but we apparently have a resident expert who should be able to enlighten you as well as several coaches of the national downhill teams. Apparently if a slope is steep it is difficult by definition. How stupid of me/us not to have realised that.

And thank goodness for that, while the rest of go skiing it's reassuring to know someone stays at home working out what's flat and what's not and worrying if we've a constitution.

So, ise, did you learn anything about your skiing today?. If you had been on here, you would have spent your time refereeing, so you were in a much better place

Absolutely, we we're doing the fave' BASI pastime of trying to create and ski a zip line and I mentioned to one of the trainers current thinking of what was steep had altered and he observed "stop wasting time and ski it" which I think's the final word on it for me.

Yes, it's all of those (dry, frozen, crusty etc). I've been using Lasers and 5*'s

No, the same ones. It doesn't make a great deal of difference what sort of skis you use for this sort of stuff though.

ise, you blokes that ski every weekend are so behind the times. Us lot back home have moved way beyond that - you have to say "pow" now, and "freshies". Powder's just not cool anymore
