The SnowVember Ski Test at Braehead Snow Factor (SNovTest_BRA)
- Would run from 11:00 to 15:00 on Sat 15 Nov 2014
- And be in BraeHead snowFactor, Glasgow
We have a doable date for a Snowvember SkiTest at Braehead : Saturday 15th November, 11am - 3pm and that includes a good range of brands available.
I'd expect to attain a similar deal to last year.
As I've mentioned elsewhere on snowHeads though, supporting a skitest at Braehead is rather expensive for me.
While I don't expect to make money on it, (or even break even!) I do want to feel that the expense is justified as 'investment in the community' by a half decent turnout.
So, if you've any interest in coming to a Ski Test on this date, please declare it via the buttons above.
As usual, there are buttons for those who can not be certain at this stage: I just need to gauge how much interest there is. Naturally, if we get a big flurry of "Definitely"s I'm going to be a lot more encouraged to push this through.

Had a great time last year but need to think about a few things first
1, It cost us 3 new pairs of skis last time 
2, Son's birthday party in a flat in Edinburgh the night before and don't know the extent of the fall out that will need to be cleared the following morning.
If I do come (+2) I will supply the Tunnocks Caramel Wafers.

OK! At last we have some Definites on this list... things aren't looking quite so dire now!
I really want to be able to support this.
Weirdly, just like last year, I am committed to being at a snowHead's wedding that day. Unlike last year, it's too far away for me to do the trip during the day. However, Gregory has agreed to fly/train up there to cover the event so the sooner we get his tickets, the less it's going to hurt.

We're going to Braehead the weekend before for the ski test that Blues organise. Didn't see this date until today, but now wondering if we can fit in two trips to Braehead.

I've never done a ski test session before, any tips on how to get the most out of it?

OK - 2 more say they're up for it. That's a 33% increase  , although 33% on 6 isn't so exciting, at least we're heading in the right direction.
I do want to see this happen, you have my enthusiasm for it but I'm sure you understand, enthusiasm from me alone is not enough to make it work.

I will be going, (upgrade from possibly) - assuming no family emergencies etc - I for one will def not be watching rugby or football in preference to playing about on some different skis

Hi, quick heads up on what brands are coming - Atomic, Armada, Blizzard, Line, Nordica, Rossignol, Salomon, and Volkl. Plus we'll have EB test skis from Head and DPS. If there is anything specific from these brands you would like to try, post on this thread and I'll see what we can do. Hope we can get a few more people signed up.

I was in Braehead for a couple of hours skiing today and I noticed that EB's test day is next Saturday. So is that separate to the Snowheads testing or are we all combining into one big test session?
