Poster: A snowHead

Hi Guys, I am looking for a skiresort for advanced skiers with many skiing opportunitities close (1h-1.5h) to Geneva. It needs to be served with an aitport to skiresort bus service.

Is Verbier a bit too far?

Verbier is 1hr45 to drive on a clearish day, or 2hr30 by train. Great skiing and has the edge on Cham for infrastructure, but I still prefer Cham

Chamonix. Nowhere else answers the requirements.

I'm sure it is J2SKI who have a very handy search function on their website. It shows distances and travel times to different resorts from various airports, up to iirc 3hrs (I say various, but have only used the Geneva airport search). There were 6 pages of results incl. France, Switzerland and Italy. It gave km of piste for the resorts and suitability for beginner, intermediate and advanced.
We found it very handy.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

If I had to choose between Verbier and Cham, I would go with Verbs. Just sayin'.

Portes de Soleil, Grand Massif & Megeve are all in the drive time window & all have minibus services such as cham express & altibus, but if it's real hardcore, I'm with the guys above voting for Chamonix. As it's not as well interconnected as some of the others, just make sure you choose your accomodation in teh right part of the valley.
