Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone understand how it works to join a club? In recent years we've bought ours under the auspices of the Annecy postal workers and the St-Julien-de-Genevoise customs workers. Because the club fees were 0. And I have also bought it by walking into variously the ESF at La Tour and Samoens and paid no club subs.

Does it make any difference?

under a new name, I think you can choose whatever club you want. Different clubs seem to add different supplements. I've either bought mine online or bought it from the Tourist Office in Tignes. When I niught it in Tignes it was issued through the Tignes race club and I think I paid a few extra Euro. Online I'll choose a club with low or no supplement.

rob@rar, In the past there was a link somewhere to an English version of those details, any idea if there is an English version around today?

thanks very much for that link, rob@rar. I shall now go and study it. Far easier than trying to track somebody down in the Club des Sports and have them hunt around for the right documents.

I note that for repatriation you need to opt for "assurance medium" - only a few euros more. And other useful bits too.

I also note that there's a very restricted list of clubs available - there are far more in 73 and 74 than come up on that list of options.
