Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I have a pair of Lacroix skis Reference 195's . I was given them they are brand new no bindings have ever been put on them . I can't find any info on them at all no idea what year they are or anything. I would like to sell them but have no idea what to ask. Can any one shed some light on them for me. They are very nice looking skis. Thanks

There were quite a few Lacroix skis on sportspursuit and eBay last year for £99, so without knowing more about the model, that's something to aim for.

Edit: and the only mentions I can find of a Reference model are from the early 90's Shocked So really not worth very much if that's correct. Any chance you could post a couple of photos of them to get a better idea of what they are?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Worthless.

Unskiable unless you were a decent skier 25 years ago.

Collector's piece for a very specific collector.

+1 what under a new name, said. The reference was a 1991 all mountain ski. Had a full length honey comb core. was available in 175-207 and retailed around $800US. Worth more as a wall mounted ski or to a collector.

Quick google of them brings up quite a few google book pages from old ski mags.

Sad Should I admit I actually have that magazine Sad

Nice ski in their day but like all old "straight" skis not really worth any money and only collectors or those of us who still remember and enjoyed skiing pre shaped skis will have any interest in them.

I bought a pair of these when they dropped to £40 in tk-maxx. At that price I just had to buy them ... and they match my jacket Toofy Grin

Lacroix still exist.

Luca had a pair season before last at a very reasonable € 4,400.00... "for the Russians".

He'd sold two pairs and was feeling quite pleased with the idea.
