Im looking at staying in Brides Les Bains which is a 20min gondola ride to Meribel on the 10th of December for a long weekend with skiweekends.com
Does anyone know how snow sure the resort is around that time?

Even though Meribel is scheduled to open in the first week of December the BLB gondola doesn't open until the 19th.
You may need to hire a car and drive up? Not sure if the resort bus goes all the way down to Brides Les Bains. Why don't you send the tourist office an email?

There will be snow but alot of the mountain will still be closed as its not fully open until just xmas week . Ive done a couple of seasons in Meribel and a few holidays in vt the week before xmas and ive never experienced no snow at that time of year. Last December was pretty bad with alot of grass exposed but this was generally around resort level (below the ronnie) but above this the pistes were ok
I would of thought the links to different areas of the 3vs will be open so you can head over to vt if the snow is bad

tricky if your in Bride les Bains we stay in Meribel and have a mini bus shuttle from the chalet but the resort local bus runs a restrictive service pre xmas

Don't ski weekends run shuttle buses up the hill? Pretty rude to drop you in BLB if there's no uplift?
