Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Skied there for the last 2 years, but cannot find a restaurant that'll do 5 standard hot chocolates ( i.e not the fluffy squirty cream ones ) for less than £15.
Has anyone got any ideas, we go with our neighbours so there is their kids and ours = 5 in total. Its skining me!

I cant answer your question but unfortunately 3 Euros is about the going rate for Chocolate on the mountain.
One tip I can give is buy a box of mars bars and take them with you. They are 3 Euros each on the mountain too.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

oscarkat, I am afraid 3+ € is the going rate and has been for the last couple of year's. But imagine what they would cost if the Alps were in the South East of England £4.00 or £ 5.00 I bet! and a pint of lager £7 or £8 Sad Toofy Grin

I have only ventured over to the Mont Chery side of Morzine once - didn't have time to stop for any food or drinks. Is it true that restaurants in general are cheaper on Morzine than in Avoriaz?

oscarkat, I can't remeber the names of any of the restaurants or cafe bars but I do remember being stung heavily on the Avoriaz side.

I bought a drink in the cinema yesterday - £1.60 - the cheap option...
3 Euros / £1.50 for a hot chocolate doesn't seem too bad, except when you multiply it by 5 people, then by 3 times a day, then 6 days a week and you get to £135! Time for the kids to get jobs!

£15? maybe €15?

I'd suggest the one on the plateau whose name completely escapes me. But I must admit to not paying a great deal of attention to chocolate prices...

The restaurant at the Top of the Gondola lift in Champery is cheaper to eat out in than most of Lausanne Puzzled

Thinking about it, La Ferme at the bottom of Lindarets village seemed reasonable to me.

Oops - bad maths, Embarassed the current exchange rate is £1 / 1.49 Euros. So should have been 3 Euros / £2 per hot choccie.
