Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mainland europe online retailers?

From time to time I've encountered online operations within Europe that are cheaper to buy from than any of the equivalent retailers in the UK, e.g. Thomann.de for music stuff, and there's a bike retailer too that I've come across.

Are there any ski equipment retailers that are similarly better value if you can overcome translating their websites etc?

Try Sport-Conrad.com based in southern Germany - the website is in English and they get good reviews here on Snowheads

larkim, I bought skis from Sport-Conrad in 2012 and the service was excellent - they were delivered to our home in France very quickly and easy company to deal with and the price was good.

I've used Sports Conrad a couple of times, Blue Tomato (Austrian) and Surfstitch (French) once.

Sport Conrad is also often free shipping, even on skis (or half price to north america). Use them quite a bit for non-ski stuff too. And you'll get a hefty catalogue 2x per year too if you order once.

There's also Sport Scheck in Germany, but I've never used them (not even the shop in Frankfurt).

I've used Ekosport , Sport Conrad and Telemark Pyrenees. They have all been excellent.
