Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking for social accomodation in Revelstoke

Any tips on where to stay, that's social or with a few people. I'm a funny and very relaxed guy who is doing an instructor course this winter. Thanks!

John123h, Welcome to:sH: Revvy is a fun place.

From memory there's a hostel there which wasn't bad according to some backpackers. Theres also Poppy's which IIRC has hostel type rooms too. You could try checking for room or house shares. Some Brits we met there, were sharing a house for 2k $ca. per month not bad for 4 couples. That was back in 2009.

If looking for room/house shares try craigslist and some other advertising sites. You should also get onto TGR and ask there, but be prepared for plenty of abuse too Smile

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Revel stoke boasts British Columbia's best Sex Shop 2009. Which has to be a recommendation. Or something.

Hi John

I just stayed at the Regency in town last week, but there are quite a few other places.

I'd stay anywhere you fancy to start with and then ask your ski bum chums if anyone wants a roomy.

I'm sure you'll find out about the "Local idiot" and also the "Last Drop" (has open mike night on Wednesdays) + lots of Babes who like to dance the night away.
+ There is a mad snow boarder with dreadlocks dancing away there .. I think his name is Chris ... Tell them Uncle Tony send his regards.
I really like Revelstoke, I was only there for two days.

I had lessons and guiding with Drew then on the guided tour an instructor with 40 years experience turned up and gave me some good tips.

While your there take the bus to Kicking Horse if you have time, its just a bit steeper than Revelstoke.

You'll have fun doing your CSIA thingy ...
But now I'm back home to reality Sad

The Regency - very posh; used by CMH. The Powder Springs is down market of that, unless it's changed in the last couple of seasons. Not "social" though.

Revelstoke's on the right side of the mountain for powder quality.

All those places have sex shops and not really a lot else. I've never seen anyone go in them. The "folk dancing" on the other hand is well attended.
