Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Neoprene face mask offer

Does anybody think this neoprene face mask offer from Living Social is any good or is it just a recipe for fogged up goggles?

https://www.livingsocial.com/deals/1270740-neoprene-face-mask-in-choice-of-colour?cvosrc=email.blast.digest_nationalshopeurope&utm_campaign=digest_nationalshopeurope&utm_content=1569&utm_medium=email&utm_source=blast

IIRC in 30 years iv'e only used a face mask once in Val Thorens on a very cold day when someone on the chairlift pointed out that i had an icicle hanging off my nose. Shocked Or maybe another time in Colorado when jt was -30C and they had signs out saying "Warning exposed flesh will freeze." Lots of stops to warm up that day and our American hosts introduced the concept of "toe management" as well. Since then I have adopted the heated boots option and as the years have gone on and the blood flow has gone slower (or something) I would not go back to unheated boots. To me that is much better than the face mask but maybe other snowheads have a different opinion?

Deleted post it was a load of cobblers. I do have a neoprene mask but haven't used it for a few years since I now wear a silk balaclava. Very Happy

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Personally I like them when it is cold and never had problem with it causing fogging up. Yes that is a good price.

If the wind is up when temps are low then I use one. I'm talking pretty extreme conditions, I've only ever used mine in the north of Sweden but they are lightweight, small and easily tucked into a rucksack or pocket.
