When does half term land for you? Breck will be very crowded from 14-16 Feb as it's President's weekend, and it will be busier than usual for a few days either side. Having said that, Breck crowded isn't quite in the same league as the big European resorts in mid Feb.
If you want quiet, there are much less crowded places in the USA. Breck has a lot of accommodation and lifts for the size of the mountain, so it's one of the busier resorts over there.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Dates Feb 14-21 ? ages ? Feb 16th is Presidents day so will be a very busy weekend.
Lift passes will be expensive. Depending on date & number of days the Epic Local Pass may be best. Summit Value pass if you are not skiing 14& 15th Feb. It might work out cheaper to get 2 season passes and use the 6 ski with a friend discount vouchers.
You might get discounted ticket with a T.O. package.
Better go to Canada.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Avoid the 4'oclock run at, er, 4o'clock as it can be manic. Look at getting the Greyhound bus over to Vail for a day trip, well worth it. Keystone will have night skiing and fireworks on Pday weekend, a great experience -ski halfway down and they. come up to eye level
The local micro brewer makes a great amber beer too!

Why Breckenridge, as a matter of interest? There are way better places to ski in the States (IMO).

ADESki, The local amber is good, but if talking about Breck. Brewery, its brewed in Golden along with certain other beers.
Breckenridge is a typical tourist destination, bottom two thirds of the mountain relatively flat great Main St. vibe, used in film sets, with many restaurants.
Locals tend to eat in places found along Ridge street, where food quality is good and prices cheap
Its a great town with access to other nearby ski areas, and an ever expanding ski area. If you do go make the most and ski the nearby mountains too.
Agree with northernsoulboy, about being better places to stay - but folks do like to try Breck at least once.
Definitely be busy around presidents Day but so will most American ski areas, we're heading out to US that week but not until the Thursday when things quieten down somewhat.

Or Canada. IME few of the punters in Canadian resorts are from the USA, so President' Day doesn't matter so much. Beware of school holidays in Ontario or the local province, though.
Somewhere off the beaten track like Big Sky would work, too.
