Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi, We are going in Feb and I've just been on to the Whistler tourist website http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com who may be able to help with schools. By the way they have a discount on lift passes until 31st August, and although we didn't book accommodation through them still got about 20% off - which may be better than your tour operator. I found it easiest to phone them - very helpful.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There is only one game in town with a qualifier that there a few sub brands structured more as multi day clinics. Average quality of thr sub brands is higher due to continuity and instructors who are specifically selected for thise programmes.

Peter Leuzzi, There is only one ski school - http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/lessons-and-rentals/lessons/index.aspx

The various types of course are run under sub-brand names with specialist instructors, as Dave of the Marmottes says - e.g. Dave Murray Race Camps. http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/lessons-and-rentals/lessons/adult-lessons/index.aspx

For higher end training there's also Extremely Canadian who aren't part of the main school, but for the majority of skiers it's as above.

I've done the Dave Murray camp and it was great. The DM camp covers the whole mountain, not just the race stuff: in fact when I did it, it snowed so much we couldn't do any gate training, we hit the trees and steeps. By the end of day 3 the snow was falling so hard we were doing laps on the Garbanzo chair and getting fresh tracks every time. I thought I was doing OK keeping up with the instructor while my fellow students dropped out one by one, till the last run down: we called into the instructors hut where he picked up a pair of skis, then skied the same lines as before with a set of skis over his shoulder while I followed on, crestfallen
