Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski instructor course advice

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi guys, I've joined the forum in the hope that I can get some insight/reviews into a couple of companies that I'm considering for a ski instructor course next winter.

I will probably go to Banff and am choosing between the Nonstop and Snowskool courses in this resort. Does anyone have any experience of either? I', sure I'll have a great time on either but I want to make sure I choose the right course as it's a lot of money.

Comments on accommodation, quality of tuition etc. and just general quality of the course will be very useful.

I am also partly considering Nonstop's course in Fernie but question whether I'd want to be in a smaller place for three months. Any experience of this course and the resort?

Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the forum, pretty quiet around here these days but if you put this in Bend Ze Knees the right people are more likely to see it. Good luck!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I did Nonstop with Fernie. Utterly brilliant, worth every penny. Don't be put off by it seeming small, the atmosphere is incredible. Have worked every season since, all over the world. Rupert and the guys know what they're doing.

I did a lot of research before choosing Banff with NonStop. NonStop seemed to have the better rep and I wasn't disappointed with my choice. Very good accommodation (irwins inn - decent food, hot tub), excellent coaching by Charlie, Mike, Anna and others (Charlie and Mike may have moved on now) and quite the 3 month bender to boot.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll have the time of your life.
