When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has anyone used Norrøna's inhouse Dri 3 fabric? Seen a stupidly good deal on a jacket and want to know how it compares to Goretex.

I ve used this https://www.norrona.com/en-GB/Products/3200-12/2240/lyngen-driflex3-jacket-m/ for a few days this season for spring touring. Great zips, feels more stretchy than goretex in their Lofoten jacket which I have as my main jacket and which has about 10 weeks on it. Haven't had any precip or anything in fact other than bluebird sun days.

The usual very high quality Noronna design basically and I got it for 45% off. At full price it night be a bit of a luxury. Which piece are you looking at ?

Norrona rocks, but keep in mind that the trollvegen series is made for climbing, so they run shorter than a true skiing jacket. Also the pockets are higher up. If this doesn't bother you, then go for it.

I made this mistake when I picked up a stupidly good deal in Bucharest on a Mammut goretex jacket. It is just 10 cms or so too short for my long upper body for skiing...
