johnboy, Prices where we live , like the Alps, have gone crazy over the last 10 yrs. We couldnt afford to step on the ladder or buy a 2nd home now.

Report on local TV the other day. House prices along the North Coast of N.I. have gone up a shocking 40% in 12 months. Mainly due to a shortage of development land and a high demand from second home owners. I certainly would struggle to pay a mortgage on what my home is now worth, which is a bit worrying.
