Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

BASI Scholarship Help

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi everyone, I have been lucky enough to be video'd for the opportunity to be one of the BASI scholarship participants while in Pila in February with Interski. In this i think around 30 people (one of which i hope to be) get selected to go to a training day in manchester snow dome where the field is narrowed down to just 10 who are selected to go on to complete the intructer scholarship. I'm looking on any advice for the day in Manchester as in what to say, the best way to teach a mock lesson and any other pointers people have. Thanks

caseypurdie, If you are interested in following the BASI route, it wouldn't hurt to get hold of a BASI Alpine Manual & familiarise yourself with the Central Theme etc. If the selection is based purely on your personal performance it may not help in that respect. But if you intend to teach anyway then it's invaluable reading. You will no doubt receive one with your L1 registration if you get selected. It may be available through your local library if you use the ISBN

If you are close to an indoor slope get down there ski as much as you can and also try and get some lessons from instructors there, but explain what you want to work towards and why.

And welcome to Snowheads snowHead
