Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I know this bloke there, Gary. He's 34 and a ski bum. Comes from Norwich originally. Works in a shop by day and a bar by night. Got shaggy hair a big nose. Don't know anyone else in that resort.

Its a slightly prettier part of Alpe d'Huez....connections over to the "main" ski area are fairly leisurely if I remember correctly, depending on where in Vaujany you start....

Connections to the ski area are fantastic IMHO. One fast cable car to Alpette which plonks you smack bang in the middle of everything. It's a great place to stay to ski AdH, not huge on nightlife though.

There are a couple of fantastic places to eat though. The little pizza hatch is top drawer (book ahead, he gets busy!) and in one of the restaurants I had a 'Salade Gascoigne' described on the menu as containing 'gizzards'. It didn't disappoint, since that's exactly what it was made of. The hearts and livers and tongues etc. of small gamey birds, I'm guessing quail, pidgeon, grouse, that kind of thing. It was brill-o.

We went at half term- had a great time- happy to answer any questions.
You need to be a bit careful depending on your skiing level- the local area is limited and the connection with ADH is either by red run or a gondola up and down and up again.
