Depends how everything else fits, sometimes sole to sole, sometimes separate flat on the bottom of the bag. Oh and having quiver killers in my skis helps as well.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Quiver killers
I borrowed a board bag for the last trip and got three pairs in - all skis separated, bases to the outside and a bit of jiggery pokery to ensure the bindings fit into each other

Quiver killers, threaded inserts that screw into your skis that make it a 5 min job to swap bindings between skis and share 1 set of bindings between multiple skis.

Maersk, I'd just do whatever is needed to make them fit. I can fit 4 pairs in my double ski bag, so two should go easily. I just stuff towels and soft things into the gaps to stop them rattling around add the straps and call the job done.

Just make sure the total weight of the bag is within your allowance. That seems to be the only thing any airline really bothers about.

Yep, Easyjet and Jet 2 haven't batted an eyelid when me and the two kids turn up with 2 roller coffin bags as our only luggage.
