Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Adjusting Marker Jester bindings

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I've picked up some used Dynastar sultan 85 skis off ebay with marker jesters (2011 model i think). They're currently set for boot sole length 329mm but my boot size is 305mm to 309mm depending on brand.

They appear to be centre mounted and Im told only drilled once (at purchase). Question is can they be adjusted that far without being re drilled and even if they could would I now be too far forward for 60% piste / 40% off piste?

Bindings are as pictured here

My first set of skis so hoping to get some advice snowHead

They may just reduce in length by that amount, depending on what jig length was used, but it's unlikely. However a centre mount is shoite for your requirements so you're going to have to remount them anyway.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks for advice. Guess it's a redrill combined with a service or cut my losses and see if a bigger booted skiier would make better use of them.

How far back would be ideal for 70kg 6ft2 skiier. Don't take big jumps but ski fairly aggressively and fair bit of offpiste

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Use the standard mounting line but just check that's it's the same distance from the tip of the ski on both skis.

Was in snow and rock today so got them to take a look. Their tech said there wasn't enough room to re drill without going either too far back or forward. Think I'll try and sell them on to a size 28/29 boot.

There were 2 sets of drill holes at either end of the bindings, is that correct for jesters or does that mean they've been drilled twice already?

Cheers for your help spyderjon. Shame I'm in London / herts and not able to bring them to nottingham

Ah feck. Well guess that's the risk buying off eBay. Hopefully someone with a 28/29 boot will want them as their a good setup.

Lift faffer, Are the other set of holes for a different boot sole length or just a different mounting point ?

They looked to be a few cm apart so I would guess different boot. I can try and contact the previous owner if you're interested
