Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Wengen Ski Rental shops

Hi All.

Just booked a last minute deal to Switzerland - Wengen. I'm trying to find some ski rental shops, but they all seem to be in Grindelwald. Does anyone know:

1) Are there any shops in Wengen.
2) How easy is it to get to Grindelwald - we don't plan to have a hire car.
3) Any favourite shops they can recommend?

Central Sport by the gondola in Wengen is where I usually hire equipment.
You can leave your boots there overnight, where they are dried/warmed.

There are a couple of other places on the high street.

You can ski down to Grindelwald if you fancy it.

Alpia, Central and Molitor al lin the high street in Wengen, all part of intersport so prices are usually like for like, Central has the biggest stock plus have heated boot racks and a seated changing area

Guys - thanks for your advice. I've booked at Central through intersport. Just need to keep my eye on the weather and try to keep a lid on my excitement.
