Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone know the current situation in Arabba?

Due to travel to Arabba on 15th Feb and feeling concerned as the lifts appear to have been shut since last Friday due to the heavy snowfalls. Does anyone know what this situation is? The forecast looks like continuing snow so will we even make it to resort?! All the other Sella Ronda resorts seem to be coping, so why isn't Arabba?

FionaG, your fellow snowHeads are - as we speak - clearing the roads and making the roofs safe on your behalf.

Travel with confidence on the 15th.

Good work Snowheads! I hope you are being justly rewarded for your efforts. Will you manage to get any skiing though?

steeper terrain, more difficult road access - all the routes in are officially closed, so no public transport or taxis are getting in or out, workers can't get to the lifts etc. Also Arabba has had quite a lot more snow than some of the other local resorts - that was very striking driving in from the north on Saturday.

But we are hoping for something to open in the next day or so. It'll probably be absolutely fine by 15th Feb.

What's the current situation in Arabba - I see there are still some lifts closed. (Due to arrive Sun 16th)

in summary, Arabba is now connected to the Sella Ronda both ways again, and also access roads.

Marmolada sector is closed, most likely for the remainder of the season.

Pretty much everything elsewhere is open again, bar the odd lift here or there.

Not sure how new snow will affect things.
