They did say that the Gendarmes had only ever pulled 13 people out alive and that the dogs are almost always searching for bodies but not a word about companion rescue or transceiver, probe and shovel.

Yes OwenM, I noticed that. They did say "Yes, there is new technology to find those buried, such as the avalanche beacons that sensible skiers wear". New technology Numpties!

erm no never, a link back would be nice but I"m not doing it for a living. However I can understand how media outlets feel crowded out by the license fee funded BBC website.
