Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Carre Neige Question

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

Been hanging around here for a while as im finally getting back into skiing after a few years out. Have previously been with family, uni and a few TO trips and have never heard of Carre Neige. From a bit of forum reading it sounded like a good idea to get in addition to insurance given how little it costs etc. Anyway, my question is, that i bought Carre Neige online with lift passes (les arc, 8th feb). The lift passes have arrived, but no additional card. Is that correct? Is the carre neige aspect identifiable on the lift pass, or should i have received separate cards?

Thanks guys Smile

leachdc, there will be something printed on the lift pass which indicates that you bought the insurance, and it should say so on your receipt.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

leachdc, Welcome to Snowheads. You usually get a separate printed receipt for the pass/insurance which you need to keep in case you lose the pass or need to claim.

leachdc, it might be indicated on the pass (it is in our area, AS in the corner) but you should also keep the receipt, preferably in a separate pocket. When a colleague in our ski group was injured last week it was this receipt which the pisteurs wanted, to prove that he had the insurance, and that they didn't need to keep his skis as a hostage.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Excellent, thanks for the responses. I did check the cards, but it didnt look like there was anything on them to indicate having purchased the insurance. I shall just keep the printed receipt in my jacket all week in that case.

Cheers again!

pam w, it is printed on our son's lift pass from New Year, but as we can reload that online without even visiting the lift pass office and getting it reprinted, I can see why the receipt is important.

I've always heard that keeping the receipt is the important thing. Don't think there's ever been a separate card.

if you can, photocopy the receipt. if you lose the card and its kept the receipt you will then have to pay full price again to get a new one
