Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Possibly this should be in Off Piste but stuck it here for visibility.

Short report on Avi risk and rescue dogs, scary looking slide right at the end of the piece.

Bit of a jumbled up article that. Had trouble following it. Anyway, up shot, it's bloody dangerous out there and could well be so for the whole season.

Parts of the BBC article were copied from my website, I will just mention this so you get an idea of where the BBC sources its information... some of the bits they didn't copy are erroneous.

I can see why some parts of the media get upset with the beeb and its website.

They did say that the Gendarmes had only ever pulled 13 people out alive and that the dogs are almost always searching for bodies but not a word about companion rescue or transceiver, probe and shovel.

Yes OwenM, I noticed that. They did say "Yes, there is new technology to find those buried, such as the avalanche beacons that sensible skiers wear". New technology Puzzled Numpties!

erm no never, a link back would be nice but I"m not doing it for a living. However I can understand how media outlets feel crowded out by the license fee funded BBC website.
