Hi,
Has anyone got any thoughts on La Tania as a family holiday resort for the week after Christmas 2014.
Cheers.
Matt.

One thought... Great !!!
Great village... Decent couple of bars and eats... Some cool blues and green runs home at the end of the day... Good ski school (so I hear) and awesome access into the 3V... Stayed there a couple of times and as you can guess... Love it

Wow, that was simple... Do I need to add a disclaimer to my email that I cannot be held accountable for my words
In all seriousness, if you're thinking of going to the 3V for a family holiday and you don't mind it a little quiter than most, then La tania is a great little place... aesthetically it is beautiful... It is largely made up of apartment blocks around the ski station, with the chalets nestled in the woods slightly higher up... The runs home are lovely, however, can be a little hard (snow) towards the bottoms if it hasn't snowed in a while, but it is sop peaceful coming home and a great way to spend your last run of the day...

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Fantastic little place, but a bit of a slog to get over to the 3rd valley, involving some of Meribel's worst and most crowded runs.
Access to Courchevel side is superb though, and got better this year with some new lifts. Home runs are indeed brilliant.

Just for the record, it's quite a while since I've been but what AA says rings true. I'd like to go back at some point.

Mat666, great place as others have said, very good choice. The only downside is the week you have planned is New Year, it will be very busy.

La Tania is lovely and especially if you like eating cheese based food.

Ski the "home" run first thing, especially when its been pisted. You'll probably not see a sole. Straightlined, it's possibly one of my favourite pistes!

Thanks everyone,
I've just booked la Tania for a weeks skiing after Christmas 2014, it's the kids first skiing trip and were all already excited.
Thanks again for the advice.
P.s. Cheese based food is my favourite food.
Matt.
