Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Beast 16 and equivalent DIN settings

Poster: A snowHead
i have just mounted up my beast 16 bindings and they have a different release mechanism to my old Dukes which I skied on DIN 10. I have set the Beasts also to their setting 10.

Twisting the heel piece on the Dukes to workbench static release was very tough. It's a breeze with the Beasts. It seems too easy.

Owing to the different release mechanics, maybe this is not an issue but please let me known if anyone has noticed a similar experience. I don't think I have suddenly got stronger...

Grinning, yes, they're very different mechanics & they're supposed to be like that - just like the Vertical/Radical heels have been for years. The Beast's torque test bang on so don't sweat it. You ok with setting the forward pressure correctly as it's not detailed in the user manual?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Cheers Spyderjon.
Adopted the paper withdrawal method and set on both boots on each ski.
Set them at 10 and will generate feedback to see how they perform!

Grinning, FWIW I was skiing some horrendous wind dunes, crust, mank and ice at speed last weekend at 10 with zero pre-releases. Very, very solid binding for skiing downhill!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
