Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Transfers to Tignes VC on a Monday! Half term week

Ok so my not so smart son has made a booboo and booked the wrong dates off work and can't change them (grr much stropping about) we have an apartment booked in VC for half term. Does anyone know if you can get transfers from any of the airports in the week? Obviously coach travel is out, ski train is out so it will have to be a flight or separately booked trains. Flight preferably as he will obviously have already lost 2 days skiing. We have only been sorting this out for months and I may just murder him!

Have a look on http://www.alpski-bus.com/ for the official bus - there are a few on Mondays from Geneva.

Otherwise you can try the shared transfers on our website - it's all quite last minute though. http://www.findtransfers.com/shared_transfers.asp

There is also a French site called http://www.covoiturage.fr/ where you can join someone who is driving up already.

How many in total? If 4+ then it may be as economic to book a private transfer via snowstartransfers.co.uk or tignes.co.uk. If not, there are three buses a day mid week from GVA, one or two from Lyon. Or go Eurostar to Paris and French sleeper overnight (or TGV by day) to Bourgif you are near London town.

It was to be just him but just had a brilliant result. I was talking to a colleague at work, his son is doing a season in Tignes and is going to drive to the airport and pick him up. Budgie smugglers all ready to pack! Thanks folks.
