Hi, A few of us are going to ARC1800 for a long weekend this weekend 
Never been there before, so what does the collective wisdom of the snowheads think of;
Best bar in ARC1800 (6 blokes wanting good beer and good craik NOT hip young dudes)
Best run/ itinerary for a mixed ability group, mostly confident red/black skiers but it would be good to have blue run options so others can join in or get to the same places?
Other than the top to bottom Aguille Rouge, any other "must do" runs?
Anyone over there this weekend we will probably be in aforesaid bar!

Been to Les Arcs last 4 seasons and the missus and I have practically skied all the runs apart from blacks, virtually all of the area will be accessible to your mixed group providing all have experience and are not complete novices. I cannot really recommend any run as I enjoy them all, that's why I have been for the last 4 years and going back in 2 weeks time.

Mont Blanc run down to Arc 1600
More adventurous can do Malgovert leaving any one else to have a cruise on Mt Blanc -has always been quiet run with fab views and a nice cruiser

I like the black under derby and equireils black too - both have easy blue alternatives.
Clair blanc is funny if there had been a lot of snow (naturide, unpisted). The offpiste under grand col lift between the twists of the red piste is great BUT I'm not at all sure conditions are right for that at the moment 
It's my favourite resort - you'll have a great time!

Red, Belette on the 1800 side and Moret, Ours or Aigle above Peisey/Vallandry. You've already mentioned top to bottom from Aiguille Rouge and that's absolutely correct. Renard is a good blue alternative to Belette but can get pretty busy. In general the reds and some blues above Peisey Vallandry are my favourite part of the mountain. Cachette and Arolles into 1600 are also good reds.
Basically, the beauty of Les Arcs is that there is extensive skiing to be had, but its really quite easy to access all areas of the resort. To get from 1800 to any other village centre requires only 1 lift up and a ski down, so its fantastically accessible.
As for bars; I did a season in 2011 so it may have changed since then, but the main bars were Bar King Mad and Red Hot Saloon, they're in the Villards part of town. Saloon often has some live music on, BKM is owned by a couple of English guys (Rob and Phil) and that was very much our bar of choice, its only small but a lively atmosphere in the evening (and decent pub grub too). At the other end of town (5 minute walk) the J-O used to do live music of an evening.
