Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Often/usually yes! I would.......

Maybe choose to stay in Avoriaz or close to Avoriaz access in Morzine.

Plenty of good options near the Super Morzine bubble, which are also near the town centre and within easy reach of the Pleney side.

JasonW, Usually fine for snow.
Have accom from 24th or 25th, close to easy access to the system, Avoriaz or les Gets side.
Check out website below for more detail.

I went second week of March three years ago and the conditions were shocking. The entire Morzine/Le Gets side was completely unskiable and the Avoriaz side was packed. I think I was unlucky though as it was the year when snow was rubbish nearly everywhere.

madlondoner, yes that was the year when conditions were pretty awful in many places. We shared a 'piste' with golfers at one point at 1800m in Les Arcs.

Lol it was insane. I went to Kirchberg earlier in the season (middle of January!) and as I approached the village I saw the green fields. When in Morzine we awoke every day, legged it over to the super Morzine and made our way to the runs above Avoriaz which were skiable til lunch. We had a long lunch with beer then usually got the cable car down and went to the bar!

JasonW, I hope good. We are going end of March into early April rolling eyes

I would say however, for a bit of optimism, check the snow report thread form the 2012/13 season. It was dumping all through late March into April snowHead

Went to Avoriaz last year at start of March. Lots of snow but I believe it was a good year. Great access to wide ski area.
