Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Deux Alpes Ski Hire

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi..experienced skiers travelling to LDA in Jan. We will have a car so can be flexible as to where ski hire shops are located...but...we want to avoid the usual Saturday afternoon / evening rush at the hire shop! Can anyone recommend a good, quiet and well priced ski hire location we could go for? Thanks!

Ski Extreme on the roundabout with all the flags has plenty of interesting skis.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Derron, welcome to snowheads. snowHead I'd be suspicious of any ski hire shop which was quiet on a Saturday evening. Your best bet, if that is a key consideration (and I don't blame you) would be to look at a shop en route somewhere, before you get up to the resort proper, though that would preclude your changing gear mid-week. Somebody with local knowledge might be able to advise. If she doesn't come onto this thread with advice you could try a personal message to Lizzard.

Ski Extreme is very good, though. Maybe you could reserve in advance, which might speed things up just a bit.

Thanks - appreciate the advice. Know what you mean about being suspicious, was just trying to avoid last years scenario in La Plagne where we queued for 2 hours for the whole process!! Plus, having skied regularly in the US where they just don't do queuing, I am of course always on the look out for good, efficient service!!
Very Happy Very Happy
