Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Is it standard practice for the webcams to become "faulty" when the snow is pants?

Was trying to find out conditions at puy still Vincent to compare them to last year.
The webcams on snowbizz are showing images from 2weeks ago with a dribble of snow.
The tourist information isn't showing those cameras at all. Just carefully staged pictures of piles of flattened kunstschnee.
So. Are they pulling a fast one or is it just coincidence?

TheGeneralist, take a look at my one from our apartment in Serre Chevalier - will give you a good idea of what to expect in PSV - we're at 1400m - I also do a brief blog on conditions etc

Only issue is that is has been raining all night, think snow level is around 1550 - will know more as I'm driving to my brothers up near Chambery this morning over the Col du Montgenevre

TheGeneralist, I am due to go there on Saturday with a few friends so also been keeping an eye on things. My mum's boss has a very good relationship with Snowbizz and is currently out there in Puy St Vincent now. We have spoken to them this morning and they had at least 10-15cm of snow over night and are expecting more during the day, over night and tomorrow too. Hope that helps. I will try and get an update and post back on here when I know more details. Very Happy Very Happy
