Poster: A snowHead

As per the title, I'm wondering how much the extension pass will cost for a week? I foolishly forgot to upgrade when booking the trip. Last year I thought I didn't want it for Tignes, then bought in resort for the same price as was offered online despite the rep stating it would be cheaper online. Will the situation be similar for Val? I sure hope so... I was quoted £49 for the online upgrade.

Upgrades tend to work on a day to day basis but suspect if you go to the lift company they may let you scrap your VT pass if you buy a full 3v pass.

If the overall coverage and conditions were as good as the mornings on last season's EoSB, then take the upgrade. I had one of the best days on planks in terms of conditions, km travelled, empty pistes etc. The company was pretty good too
Enjoyment and experience worth way more than the upgrade cost in an off-peak week.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Sounds good to me. As said, last year I upgraded for the week but apparently the upgrade would have cost the same for 1 day as it would for a week. I definitely want it though!

You could give a quick ring to SETAM (+33 (0) 479 00 07 08 ) - the local lift pass office. Someone there should be able to confirm the best way to upgrade your pass.

seem to recall the 3v day extensions are only worth doing if you intend to ski across to the other valleys less than three times in the week...so a full 3v pass would be worthwhile in that case
as you have already bought VT pass, ( I guess this is the one that covers belleville valley and the orelle valley) the difference is about £50/60 for the 3v pass.
If you phone setam they might be able to switch the pass for you for the extra....they are on electronic system for cards.. altho as with many things french...you never know!

Off to la Tania in a few weeks. 6d 3v pass is Eu277, 6d courchevel is 234. Upgrades are 31 euros per day. Look at VT website see if it is the same.

SETAM (list pass people) will change your 6 day VT pass for a 6 day 3V pass for €55 ( 277 - 222 ). I have an email from them confirming this.

Yes, there's a VT + belleville valley pass, but for a 6 day it's ony about €15 cheaper than a full 3V pass which covers everything. Can't see any reason why anyone would get one myself.
