Poster: A snowHead
|
So, further to my recent thread (many thanks for all the replies, decision made- in ski jacket pocket, in a little bag/sack thing, keys in same pocket is the way I am going to go) I have one other question (does reveal a little more about my destnation!).
After asking a certain massive question, I am hoping to have a nice restaurant booked for a leisurely lunch with a bottle of champagne. Ideally this would be somewhere above Courchevel/La Tania. (of course, if there is a negative answer then I will be seen at the Follie by myself!).
Looking for table service, nice atmosphere, I guess a budget up to around ideally £100 for the two of us, not more than £150 anyawy. Anywhere else I would just go to a nice looking place, but in this area you could easily end up getting stung for a fortune! Anyone suggest somewhere? And would I need to book?

They would have been my 2 options, bel air a bit more expensive, and if you do certainly book, and ask for a window seat inside.
Never needed to book the courcheneige as we are pretty frequent diners there but would suggest you do if you want to guarantee a table.

Bouc Blanc is nice and relatively swanky if you sit inside. Only had a drink in Bel Air but OH had a meal there and while not cheap, said it was pretty darn good. I plan to have a wee glass of something at both on Christmas day

There are plenty of not-so-expensive things on the menu, or at least there were last time I was there. And it's incomparably better value for money than La Folie Douce, whom I will never again allow to rip me off, in any resort!

You've got Le Farcon in La Tania - it is a Michelin star restaurant but they have a pretty decent lunch menu! http://www.lefarcon.fr/ - I think given the occasion you could consider it...
