In the new year I'll go with friend of my to St. Anton, we are used to do off-piste and we would like to know what is the option for off-piste guiding in St Anton.
Thanks

There are lots. Piste to powder are very good and professional, classes can be a bit big though. I've seen threads here previously where snowheads recommended individual guides, I'm sure someone will come along and suggest someone or else do a search. There was an amazing trip report from someone who did a week's guided heli skiing too. Also I understand the ski school do a powder club on Saturdays that only costs ten euro.

yariv_har,
I can highly recommend Piste to Powder, and a guide who worked/works for them, Franzi Trimmel. I have skied with the Piste to Powder guides for a good number of weeks. All of the guiding has been excellent (particularly with guide Franzi Trimmel.) The groups have never been large (when I have gone) sometimes only the two of us, and the guide. One of Piste to Powders top guides Franzi Trimmel has now started up his own guiding operation, he is an outstanding guide and skier. The two companies offer different course dates. The two websites are listed below:

You will not be disappointed with either - have a great time!

Re the Powder Club Saturday thing - is that just a locally advertised or short term availability thing? Nothing on their website about it. We'll probably book a guide/guidestructor at least 1 day of our long weekend but sounds a good way of getting a bit of extra in.

fatbob, I used the Powder Club in the past, it's just the ski school's guiding op. You can just turn up in the morning (where the flags are next to the Galzigbahn), but I guess it's best to speak to them the evening before to make sure they are running a group. They will only run a group if there are at least 4 ppl or everyone will have to cough up the shortfall. And it's more lilke 100euros/person NOT 15 ...WE WISH.

But does the powder club have several groups at different standards? That's fairly essential.

snowman, if it's not cheaper on a Sat it's better for us to book a guide as a group of 4 anyway or manage ourselves.
