Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

European Breakdown cover

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I am sure that there is an answer somewhere but hopefully someone can help

We are doing our annual pilgrimages to the snow over the next months, up till now we have had RAC european breakdown cover but they p**ed us off royally last year by not taking our word for what was wrong with our car and refusing to pay because 'we put the wrong fuel grade in' (we didn't the filters blocked but the techy was fed up with the number he had dealt with so wrote us off with everyone else) so several hundred pounds lighter we don't want to use RAC cover again

anyone got any recommendations of European only cover that works please?

there's been loads of discussion about this recently - look for "breakdown cover" in the search area and you will find at least 300 hits.

http://www.quotelinedirect.co.uk/breakdown/ includes Europe for up to 31 days per trip for a tad under £60/year. We've used then for years, but never had to test their service in Europe.

I used the code from Money Saving Expert's website to get a good deal with green insurance. I've not had to call them yet but have spoken regarding a scare and they were helpful.

Adac cost us £90 last year, 2 drivers, any car, Europe wide, medical recovery flights etc, etc. AA and RAC were £450+ for same cover. Go figure!
