Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Yup, used them for my family annual travel insurance for about 3 years now, fortunately I haven't had to make a claim, but they were recommended by my insurance broker as recognised market leaders.
From memory the ski cover is limited to 9 consecutive days, so far it suits me, and the website seemed fairly easy to navigate as well.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I used them for many years for annual worldwide travel insurance including winter sports - cover and customer service was OK but like gandie, I never had to make a claim.

AJQ, I used Columbus for an annual travel policy (including skiing) and I did have to make a claim when a summer flight was cancelled.

They don't cover any of the incidental expenses incurred during such an incident - extra cost of alternative flight, extra accommodation costs, extra car hire costs etc etc and their claims company were quite hostile and obviously saw their job as to turn down as many claims as possible..

My advice would be to avoid Columbus.

I'm now with Lloyds TSB - much better annual (inc skiing) cover for less £ (although I've yet to make a claim). They specifically cover costs incurred if your flight (or other transport) is cancelled or delayed due to strikes and/or weather

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We've used snowcard for years, if it's any help.

They were brilliant when I had to make a claim for medical cover. Reimbursed within the week and paid physio costs on return to UK.
